A Dutch friend of mine wrote back to this Christmas card that he had repeatedly read of the Temple complex in London in the Jane Gardam's novel cycle, Old Filth, The Man in the Wooden Hat and Last Friends.

Another friend who lives in Essex, UK, told me that the Knights Templars were his childhood heroes and that Cressing Temple Barns, not far from his place, are remnants of one of the knights largest possessions. I had missed to visit there during my stay at Colchester fifty years ago (!) Extract from: Simon Brighton, In Search  of  the  Knights Templar: A Guide to the Sites in Britain, Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 2006.

An English lady replied to me, " I lived in Bristol for seven years and know that church well, indeed I used to work in the Temple Circus building right behind it".
